In Doctor Who, the doctor encounters many villains that he must defeat/stop. These villains are too numerous to count. Some major, recurring villains that the doctor faces are the Daleks, the Cybermen, and the Master.
The Daleks were the mutated remains of the Kaled people from the planet Skaro. They were placed in metal war machines, by the Kaled’s chief-scientist, Davros. They are obsessed with purity and their main mission is to be the last living species. In order to do so they have to find and kill the Doctor.
The Cybermen were born on Earth’s twin planet Mondas. They were created as the Mondasian’s replaced parts of their dying bodies with plastic and steel. They can turn people into them whenever they choose.They are also obsessed with ruling the world and becoming the only species, void of emotions. They believe that emotions are bad, painful, and unneccesary.
The Master is a time lord from Gallifrey as well as the doctor. When children reach a certain age on their home planet, they look into the un-tempered schism. This is a view of all of time and space, driving some kids mad, but others are fascinated. The Master was driven insane as a child and now has crazy plans to destroy the universe in a search for the "Drumbeat of Three" inside his head. Tap Tap Tap Tap, driving him clinically mad.
